Job summary

RTX Corporation in the United States (MA, TEWKSBURY) is seeking a Digital Electrical Engineer I to design and develop circuit card assemblies and FPGA-based solutions powering mission-critical systems.

You will work in an agile, cross-functional team with systems, mechanical, and software engineers, handling architecture, modeling, hardware integration, and production release across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related STEM field by start date.
• Experience or coursework in Digital Electronics, Circuit Design/Analysis, Digital Design, or HDL coding.
• Experience using common test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMM) for circuit characterization, debugging, and validation.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations targeting configurable logic devices.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write high-reliability code for embedded processing systems.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and collaborate on physical layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a laboratory environment using advanced test instrumentation against rigorous system requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation, technical reports, and configuration management artifacts throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from initial customer requirement definition through formal production release.
