Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States (Illinois) is seeking a motivated FPGA engineer to help develop and implement FPGA designs under a senior staff member. You will work on architecture, HDL coding, synthesis, and testing for audio products such as microphones and wireless systems.

You will join a cross-functional team, estimate and document tasks, and apply solid design methodologies. Familiarity with VHDL/Verilog and tools such as Vivado or Quartus is essential.

Qualifications

  • Two years of coursework in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Basic understanding of FPGA development cycle.
  • Familiarity with VHDL or Verilog.
  • Experience with FPGA tools Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus.
  • Knowledge of digital logic circuits, embedded controllers, DSP concepts and memory types.
  • Experience with Python programming language.
  • Basic knowledge of audio or wireless communications.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship not provided.

  • Conduct system-level and FPGA-specific testing on audio products, including microphones, wireless microphone systems, signal processors, and personal monitoring devices.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional development team to design and implement audio products and technology.
  • Estimate, organize, and document development tasks.
  • Practice solid design methodologies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description
