Job summary

Taara Connect, Inc. is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to lead the full lifecycle of FPGA designs for high-data-rate wireless optical communication systems.

You will design, simulate, implement, test, and verify digital logic and timing-sensitive tracking systems in a collaborative, fast-growing environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in FPGA/Digital Logic with SystemVerilog, strong lab skills, and experience with high-speed interfaces.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering or similar field.
• 3+ years in FPGA/Digital Logic Design with SystemVerilog/Verilog.
• Experience with FPGA design flow: simulation, synthesis, timing analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams to develop high-speed DSP and control algorithms for wireless optical comms.
• Implement custom RTL modules for high data rate communications and precision tracking.
• Develop test benches, run simulations, verify design requirements.
• Integrate third-party IP cores, create RTL wrappers, interface with vendors.
• Participate in board bring-up, system integration, troubleshooting, and field tests.
• Stay updated with FPGA technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Contribute ideas to improve design processes and products.
