Job summary

Nova Group in Napa, CA is seeking a Financial Analyst to drive FP&A, forecasting, and tax compliance while partnering with Controllers, executives, and Operations. This role emphasizes turning data into actionable insights and process improvements across multi-state tax obligations and payroll tax administration.

The ideal candidate is analytical, technically strong, and curious, able to research unfamiliar issues, identify trends, and support strategic decisions with data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, tax, or related role.
• Strong Excel and data-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with leaders.
• Develop financial models, cash flow forecasts, and scenario analyses.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis for executive leadership.
• Develop executive dashboards and KPIs for visibility into performance.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and translate findings into insights.
• Improve reporting tools and processes for senior leadership and Operations.
• Analyze project performance including revenue, costs, margins, and backlog.
• Coordinate tax compliance responsibilities and payroll tax administration.
• Assist with system, reporting, analytics, and tech improvement initiatives.
