Trane Technologies is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for its Life Science Solutions Finance team. The role supports long-term and short-term planning, budgeting, and strategic analysis across global operations, reporting to the Life Science Solutions Finance Leader.

You will coordinate forecasts, develop automation in reporting, evaluate capital investments, and partner with Investor Relations, Treasury, and Acquisitions/Divestitures to drive value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent required.
• Master degree preferred and/or CPA, CMA
• Minimum 5+ years experience in finance, accounting or related field, and strong financial analysis skills.
• Demonstrated ability to establish & implement processes and perform in a fast-paced environment, while also building a positive rapport and attitude with personnel throughout the worldwide organization.
• Advanced Excel Skills.
• Knowledgeable in MS Office, Hyperion Planning/HFM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly forecast, annual operating plan (AOP) and long-term plans (LRP) with SBU FP&A teams.
• Drive standardization and automation in reporting tools; liaise between Corporate and Sectors/Business Units.
• Monitor and report financial performance, analyze variances and their impact on operations.
• Report results with recommendations for action.
• Develop tools for early identification of financial problems and recommended resolutions.
• Design, improve and maintain financial systems and models.
• Participate in evaluating major capital investments.
• Prepare analyses and support for quarterly earnings releases and calls.
• Collaborate with Investor Relations, Treasury, and Acquisitions/Divestitures to support processes.

Life Science Solutions Finance provides financial support to the Life Science Solutions enterprise across a range of disciplines, including Corporate Accounting and Financial Planning. The Financial Planning & Analysis Group is responsible for long-term and short-term financial planning, forecasting, management reporting and analysis, and the creation of tools to help drive decision-making. A senior financial analyst in this group reports to the Life Science Solutions Finance Leader and will manage several high profile financial responsibilities. This position plays a key role in providing analytical and business decision support to drive financial forecasts, operating budgets and strategic goals.

What you will do:

• Work with SBU FP&A teams to coordinate the collection of information required to develop, analyze, and/or modify financial plans, which include the monthly forecast, annual operating plan (AOP) and long-term strategic plans (LRP)
• Work closely with financial systems team and drive standardization and automation in reporting tools. While also acting as a liaison between Corporate and the Sectors/Business Units – drive collaboration.
• Monitor and report financial performance, analyze and interpret operating results, investigate variances and unusual items; and evaluate their effect on operations.
• Report results along with recommendations for action.
• Develop tools for early identification of financial problems and make recommendations for resolution of problems.
