Job summary

Unlimited Technology is seeking an FP&A Senior Manager to own financial planning and analysis for a PE-backed growth phase. The role reports to the CFO and offers visibility across executive leadership and PE investors.

The ideal candidate will drive reporting, forecasting, and analytics, partnering with sales and operations to optimize profitability as the company scales toward the $250M revenue target. Fully remote with regional time-zone flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and recurring forecasting cycles.
• Oversee internal and external financial reporting and develop efficient reporting tools and dashboards.
• Support monthly close processes including analysis of variances and payroll/travel expense reviews; incorporate AI tools to streamline analysis.
• Partner with senior leadership (VP of Sales, Operations, PMs) to analyze profitability, backlog, and multi-branch performance.
• Support private equity/M&A activities, diligence, and integration efforts.

Unlimited Technology is a national security systems integrator headquartered in Northern Virginia, growing rapidly through both organic expansion and M&A activity. We're hiring a highly capable FP&A Senior Manager that will be an integral part of the growth story.

Role Overview

The FP&A Senior Manager will be a highly hands-on leader responsible for driving financial insights, improving reporting, and supporting key business decisions. The role has no direct reports today - but it's built to grow. As the company scales toward $250M and beyond, we expect this role's scope to expand, with the opportunity to build and lead a team over time.

The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills, a deep analytical mindset, and the ability to partner effectively across the organization. Success requires quickly learning the business, understanding operational drivers, and delivering accurate, timely financial insights.

The business utilizes percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, so experience in a project-based, multi-branch service environment and familiarity with work-in-process (WIP) schedules is preferred.

This is a high-visibility role that works closely with the CFO (direct manager), Controller, General Managers, Operations leadership, Service Director, and other executives.

Primary Responsibilities

Reporting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

• Lead the annual budgeting process and recurring forecasting cycles
• Serve as the subject matter expert for internal and external financial reporting, including understanding underlying data and developing efficient reporting tools and dashboards
• Support the monthly close process, including commission accruals, payroll analysis, travel expense review, and select balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare, analyze, and communicate financial data, including investigating significant variances
• Incorporate AI technology to streamline analysis and the closing process

Business Partnering & Analysis

• Partner with the VP of Sales to analyze customer profitability, bookings, and backlog trends
• Support Branch General Managers and Project Managers with job performance analysis and multi-branch P& L insights
• Conduct gross margin analysis to ensure proper matching of revenue and costs
• Manage labor utilization reporting and analysis in support of the COO

Private Equity & M&A

• Serve as the liaison with Private Equity investors, preparing and presenting financial data
• Support financial analysis of M&A targets and assist with integration of acquired businesses
