Job summary

Honigman LLP in Detroit seeks a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead partner compensation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives at the firm. You will drive profitability analyses for practice groups and strategic initiatives, delivering actionable insights to inform decisions.

The role requires a highly analytical thinker who can build best-practice models, manage a FP&A team, and partner with Tax and Payroll to ensure accurate compensation calculations and tax

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 7–10 years of FP&A experience, leadership role preferred.
• Strong budgeting, pricing and financial analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage compensation process for attorneys, partners, and track members.
• Prepare compensation materials for committee meetings.
• Develop KPIs for compensation analyses and partner decisions.
• Collaborate with Compensation Committee and Payroll to align updates.
• Prepare year-end compensation statements considering taxes, capital, and draws.
• Conduct profitability analyses for equity partners and practice groups.
• Oversee budgeting, projections, and detailed budget models.
• Lead FP&A team and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects.
