Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an FP&A Manager to join the Fernandina Beach Mill finance team. You will own the month-end close for Record to Report and Procure to Pay, lead analysts, coordinate close deliverables, and translate operational activity into clear financial insight.

This onsite role reports to the Mill Controller/Sr. FP&A Manager and will support forecasts, budgets, variance analysis, internal controls, and process improvements, while building readiness for broader finance leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Typically 10+ years of finance, accounting, or FP&A experience.
CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
Manufacturing/Industrial background preferred.

Responsibilities

Own and lead the monthly close for Record to Report and Procure to Pay with governance and reconciliations.
Mentor Junior FP&A staff during close to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Provide variance analysis and insights into mill performance drivers.
Prepare reporting packages, schedules, and management commentary.
Support forecasts, budgets, and annual operating plan development.
Drive process improvements, internal controls, and cost savings validation.
Collaborate with operations, procurement, accounting, and leadership to translate actions into financial impact.
