DeWinter Group in South San Francisco seeks an FP&A Manager to spearhead the Adaptive Insights implementation and redefine the company’s financial reporting.

You will partner with a newly appointed Head of Corporate Finance, collaborate with finance and IT teams, and ensure timely closes while expanding cloud-based planning capabilities in a biotech environment.

This contract role runs 3+ months with on-site presence three days per week.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in FP&A or financial systems management focusing on adaptive planning.
  • Hands-on Adaptive Insights experience including reporting and modeling.
  • Experience leading finance system transformations in biotech or growth settings.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

FP&A Manager (Adaptive) - Immediate Opportunity to Lead Financial Transformation

Join a dynamic biotech company in South San Francisco as their FP&A Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in completing their Adaptive Insights implementation and shaping their financial reporting future. Under the leadership of a newly appointed Head of Corporate Finance-with a background in investment banking-you'll be instrumental in transitioning finance processes to a cutting-edge cloud-based planning platform while ensuring seamless reporting during a critical period.

This role is perfect for a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional with hands-on experience in Adaptive, ready to make an impactful difference during a crucial transition period. Required Skills:

  • Proven expertise in Adaptive (Workday Adaptive Planning) including report creation, financial modeling, and system testing
  • Strong understanding of FP&A processes, financial close cycles, and reporting
  • Experience with Hyperion and Oracle (preferably PBCS/Hyperion) - nice to have
  • Ability to troubleshoot, reconcile, and contribute to closing packages
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze existing processes and implement system improvements

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion or other financial planning tools
  • Prior experience supporting finance system implementations
  • Management of testing, reconciliation, and documentation efforts during system cutovers

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years in FP&A or financial systems management, with a focus on adaptive planning solutions
  • Prior experience leading or supporting finance transformations, especially in biotech or fast-growth environments

Other Requirements:

  • Immediate availability for interviews (preferably Friday and next week)
  • On-site presence required three days per week at South San Francisco office (flexible scheduling); accessible via BART and ferry
  • Ability to work independently and leverage consulting support as needed
  • Duration: 3+ months, with potential extension based on business needs and upcoming budget cycle
