Job summary

Syntax Talent Solutions, LLC seeks a Senior FP&A professional to own end-to-end P&L analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• CPA/CFA/CIMA preferred but not mandatory.
• MBA or Master’s in Finance advantageous for strategic FP&A work.
• Own end-to-end P&L with robust forecasting and planning models.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling proficiency.
• Excellent communication with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the full P&L and provide variance commentary and performance insights across revenue, cost, and margin drivers.
• Build, upgrade, and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Develop and present clear, concise financial reports and dashboards to the CFO and FP&A leadership teams.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business initiatives into financial impacts and support data-driven decision-making.
• Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities with recommended actions.
• Support scenario planning and sensitivity analyses for key strategic initiatives and investments.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of all FP&A outputs, continuously improving processes and tools.
• Act as a proactive, curious business partner, digging into data to uncover insights and challenge assumptions where needed.

About the Role

In this role, you will serve as a key FP&A partner to the CFO and broader leadership team, owning end-to-end P&L analysis and performance insights. Key Requirements

• Strong FP&A experience with proven ownership of an entire P&L, not just specific cost or revenue lines.
• Demonstrated track record of building and enhancing complex financial models for forecasting and planning.
• Ability to produce high-quality, accurate work product on the first pass, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working closely with senior finance leadership, including CFO-level stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly.
• Confidence and capability to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding support.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in hospitality, retail, or loyalty program-driven businesses, or similarly consumer-focused industries.
• Exposure to multi-unit or multi-location business models and related performance metrics.
• Familiarity with BI/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Experience supporting pricing, promotional, or customer engagement strategies from a financial perspective.
• Background in process improvement or standardisation within FP&A functions.

Qualifications
