Vaco by Highspring seeks an experienced FP&A leader to own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across facilities in the Houston area. The role partners with Operations, Estimating, and Sales to drive profitability insights and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
5+ years of FP&A experience with ownership of a budget or forecast cycle.
Strong Excel skills and ability to build financial models from scratch.
Power BI familiarity is a strong plus; prior AI tool usage is a plus.

Responsibilities

Leads the annual budgeting cycle from start to finish, including assumptions and model build.
Keeps rolling forecast current at each month-end close and ties to actuals.
Owns the 13-week cash forecast with treasury coordination.
Builds longer-range planning models and runs scenario analyses.
Models financial case behind capital investments and equipment purchases.
Tracks spend against budgets and flags cost overruns early.
Supports acquisitions and integration planning when opportunities arise.
Owns monthly leadership reporting and variance analysis with actionable steps.
Builds dashboards and reporting tools for ongoing visibility.
Sets up and tracks KPIs across facilities.
Collaborates with Operations, Estimating, and Sales for profitability views.
