Job summary

SentrySoftware is seeking an FP&A Manager to help build the FP&A function with a focus on cloud infrastructure, AI costs, and vendor spend. You will partner with Engineering and other teams to turn financial insights into strategic actions and establish best-in-class FinOps practices.

You will act as a generalist FP&A partner, developing processes, models, and operating rhythms as the company grows, reporting to the Director of FP&A.

Qualifications

• Experience building or improving financial models, planning processes, or cost-management cadences.
• Strong ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance audiences and turn analysis into action.
• Experience partnering with engineers or product teams on budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for major cost areas including cloud infrastructure, AI costs, and vendors.
• Partner with Engineering and infrastructure leaders to translate usage into forecasts and improve unit economics.
• Develop scalable reporting for cloud costs, allocations, and variances to drive actionable insights.
• Evaluate cloud commitments, reserved capacity, and vendor agreements, modeling financial tradeoffs.
• Build and operate a company-wide expense-management process with clear budget visibility and accountability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders on budgets, forecasts, and business cases; support monthly/quarterly close.
