Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a summer 2027 FP&A Finance Intern for its P&C IT Services organization in a hybrid office/remote capacity. You will gain hands-on exposure to financial planning, budgeting, and analytics, with a focus on developing Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI skills.

The role emphasizes building analytical dashboards, supporting budgeting processes, and delivering clear, executive-ready insights to IT and finance leaders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Preferred: coursework or experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or forecasting.
• 2028 graduation year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the P&C IT annual budget process, including data gathering, model updates, and reconciliation.
• Provide day-to-day FP&A support to the IT Finance team.
• Analyze headcount and expense trends, and identify variances to plan and forecast.
• Build and maintain advanced Excel models and workbooks to support budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Develop and refresh Power BI dashboards and reports that present financial and operational metrics clearly to stakeholders.
• Prepare polished, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that translate analysis into concise insights and recommendations.
• Partner with finance and IT colleagues to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery of recurring and ad-hoc reporting.
