Morton Salt, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to support planning, budgeting, and profitability analyses.

The role focuses on data-driven insights to guide strategic initiatives and optimize financial performance. The position involves enhancing Power BI reports, performing variance analysis, and partnering with various departments to translate financial results into actionable business insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance, Accounting, or related business finance roles.
• Experience in consumer products/manufacturing and business partnership is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling with large datasets.
• Strong analytical capabilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual budget process, including collecting, validating, consolidating, and analyzing business assumptions.
• Analyze key P&L metrics and performance drivers, including revenue, volume, price, promotions, COGS, and SG&A.
• Prepare monthly management reports with variance analysis versus budget and prior year.
• Support month-end close activities by validating results, investigating variances, and identifying key business drivers.
• Perform profitability analysis by business segment, customer, product group, and other relevant dimensions.
• Maintain and enhance Power BI reports and other financial reporting tools to improve data accuracy, accessibility, and visibility.
