Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in Coppell, TX. The role partners with the CFO and senior leadership to transform financial data into strategic insights, lead the FP&A function, and drive enterprise performance.

You will own the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and multi-year plans, while overseeing a team of financial analysts. Strong leadership, communication, and deep expertise in US GAAP and financial modeling are essential.

Qualifications

• MBA in finance required or a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field with work experience to demonstrate mastery.
• 7–10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• 5+ years in direct management or leadership capacity.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and understanding of all financial statements.
• Strong ability to identify trends, variances, and recommend practical improvements to leaders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, financial modeling).
• Experience creating Power BI dashboards and reporting; familiarity with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities

• Develop trusted partnerships with executive and operational leadership to provide financial insights for decision making.
• Lead annual budget, multi-year financial plan, rolling forecasts and performance across the org.
• Analyze revenue, gross margin, labor, overhead, and other KPIs for financial optimization.
• Provide actionable insights into profitability, capital planning and operational performance.
• Communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance leaders and stakeholders.
• Monitor KPIs, communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership with recommendations to drive performance.
• Oversee capital expenditure reporting, budgeting, and investment analyses.
• Prepare and analyze financial records and reporting packages for efficiencies and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain financial models used for budgeting, forecasting, pricing analyses.
