Job summary

#twiceasnice Recruiting is seeking an FP&A Analyst for a Make-to-Order manufacturer. You will own cost center reporting, analyze variances, and partner with operations, production, procurement, and project teams to improve margins and efficiency.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will drive budgeting, rolling forecasts, and month-end close activities, providing clear financial insight across projects, stock movements, and pricing decisions. Start ASAP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of FP&A, management accounting, or commercial finance experience.
• 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead peers.

Responsibilities

• Own cost center reporting; track and compare approved budgets with actual costs
• Prepare and communicate detailed analyses of budget vs actual variances and recommendations
• Analyze stock movements, production variances, and purchase price variances
• Identify root causes, clearly translate to financial impact, and recommend corrective action
• Partner with cost center owners to support financial discipline and corrective actions
• Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
• Provide financial insight into production efficiency, yield, and operational performance
• Translate operational variances into clear financial impact and recommendations
• Partner with the PM team on project financials, margin tracking, and post-project reviews
• Monitor cost-to-complete; support pricing, quoting, and bid evaluations financially
• Perform margin analyses by project, product, customer, and top SKUs
• Maintain stock age analysis; identify slow-movers, working capital improvement opportunities
• Own monthly revenue recognition and ensure accuracy of management reporting data
• Support month-end close through analytical reviews and variance commentary
• Develop and maintain weekly KPI tracker; support ad hoc analyses and special projects
• Work with IFS team on finance priorities; identify process and efficiency improvements

Our client, a Make-to-Order manufacturer, is looking for an FP&A Analyst to add to their team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be the sole FP&A function — a key contributor responsible for cost center reporting, variance analysis, project profitability, margin analysis, and process and efficiency improvement across the business. You will identify opportunities and bring financial clarity in collaboration with strong operations, production, procurement, and project management teams.
