Job summary

Hot Topic & BoxLunch is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. You will support budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, and financial analysis across the business. You’ll work closely with FP&A, Accounting, and business partners to interpret results and drive informed decisions.

This role operates on a hybrid schedule, working from our HQ in City of Industry, CA three days a week. Strong Excel skills, financial modeling, and experience with ERP/BI tools are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual budget, forecasts, and monthly financial planning and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain financial models, reports, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze monthly results and explain variances versus budget, forecast, and prior year.
• Collaborate with Accounting during month-end close to review actuals and accruals.
• Prepare monthly reporting presentations for management.
• Work with business partners to understand spending, trends, risks and opportunities.
• Help maintain recurring reports and ensure data accuracy.
