Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Financial Analyst I to join the FP&A team. You’ll provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions, help manage monthly closes, and develop forecasts while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role offers exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to advance within the finance organization, in a standard Mon-Fri office environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; no prior experience required.
Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are a plus.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with financial systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills for collaborating in a matrix environment.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
Business fluency in English; additional languages may be required for specific locations.
Ability to manage and analyze large datasets.
Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
