Job summary

AfterQuery is seeking a remote, project-based corporate finance professional. The role targets 1–3 years of experience in FP&A with a focus on financial modeling and accounting.

Work is asynchronous for 2–3 weeks, with an expected commitment of 10–20 hours per week and pay that ranges from $60 to $100 per hour. You will gain exposure to real-world financial analysis and the opportunity to enhance your resume while supporting an early-stage, YC-backed startup.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in corporate finance or FP&A.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling and accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed financial models and answer financial questions.
• Apply complex accounting principles to real-world scenarios (NOLs, DTAs, operating leases, etc.).
• Translate complex accounting and tax considerations into forecasted P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet impacts.

Job description
