Why ClearStar Needs You:The FP&A Analyst is responsible for supporting ClearStar's financial planning, forecasting, and reporting functions to provide visibility into business performance and enable sound decision-making. This role works across teams and with key external stakeholders-including our private equity partners-to ensure timely, accurate financial insights and strategic support in a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment.
What You'll Do:This role exists to provide actionable financial intelligence that informs strategic direction, operational discipline, and capital allocation. By developing clear forecasting models, enhancing reporting processes, and partnering with business leaders, the FP&A Analyst drives clarity, accountability, and financial excellence across the organization.
Impact and Outcomes- Strengthens executive and investor confidence through reliable financial forecasts and insights.
- Enhances decision-making by equipping leaders with timely, data-driven recommendations.
- Improves expense management and resource allocation through variance analysis and cost reviews.
- Delivers accurate and responsive reporting tailored for private equity, Board, and internal executive needs.
Success Measures- On-time delivery of monthly close packages, MBR/QBR, and Board reporting.
- Implementation of process improvements that reduce reporting cycle time and manual efforts.
- Quickly adjusts forecasts or models in response to business or operational changes, demonstrating agility in planning.
- Becomes a go-to resource for department heads seeking financial/reporting clarity or guidance.
Key Challenges and Problem Solving- Diagnosing recurring issues and driving process-level change.
- Gaining alignment across teams with competing operational priorities.

What You'll Need:- 5+ years of professional finance and accounting experience
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling capability (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
- Analytical mindset with strong data interpretation and reporting skills in business analytics, pricing, revenue forecasting and business intelligence
- Experience with Forecasting and BI tools (Workday Adaptive Planning, Domo, PowerBI or Tableau).
- Driven, committed and with the ability to complete tasks on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free with access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day task.
