Description

About the Role

The FP&A Analyst supports the delivery of financial and operational analyses, models, and reporting that drive accurate, timely business decisions across a fast-growing, multi-partner platform. You will work closely with the broader finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting helping leadership and partner companies understand their financial results and act on them.

FP&A Analyst Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting & Close Support: Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting activities including preparation of partner financials, variance analysis, and commentary explaining results versus prior year and budget.
  • Budgeting & Planning: Assist in coordinating the annual budgeting process and the preparation of the Annual Corporate and Operating Plan.
  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial and operational models that support strategic planning, long-range forecasting, and special projects.
  • Reporting Automation: Support the finance team in automating analytical and reporting tools to improve the speed and accuracy of data flows between partner companies and senior leadership.
  • Performance Analysis: Identify variances in partner financial performance, investigate root causes, and surface opportunities for improvement with clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Management Reporting: Assist in preparing reporting, analysis, and presentation materials for monthly and quarterly financial reviews including board meetings and investor reporting requirements.
  • Corporate Development Support: Assist in the diligence process by coordinating internal and external resources to successfully obtain and review diligence documents required to close.

FP&A Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement presentation
  • Strong Excel skills required; experience with Vena or similar FP&A platforms a plus
  • Strong analytical mindset and finds meaning in data and translates it into clear, actionable insights
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance audiences

Who You Are

You are a clear communicator who puts employees and partners first, a creative problem-solver who doesn\'t let things linger, and someone who moves fast without cutting corners. Above all, you hold yourself to a higher standard. In your work, your judgment, and how you treat people.

What Onboarding Looks Like

In your first 30 days, you will learn the platform\'s financial structure, reporting tools, and partner company landscape while supporting the team through day-to-day analytical work. By day 60, you will be independently producing recurring reports and variance analyses and have contributed meaningfully to at least one budgeting or planning workstream. By day 90, you are a reliable, productive member of the FP&A team, delivering accurate work on time and beginning to develop your own perspective on partner performance trends.

The 5 Big Things — What Success Looks Like

  • Your analysis is accurate and on time: Success means financial reports, models, and variance analyses are delivered on schedule with a level of accuracy that requires minimal review from the FP&A Manager.
  • You make the numbers tell a story: Success is analysis that goes beyond the output. You identify what the numbers mean, why they moved, and what should happen next.
  • Budgeting and planning run smoothly: Success means you are a dependable contributor to the annual budget and planning cycle. Organized, proactive, and keeping the process on track.
  • Reporting gets better over time: Success means you are actively contributing to automation and reporting improvements. Reducing manual work and increasing the speed and reliability of financial data across the platform.
  • You grow into greater ownership: Success is an analyst who is visibly more capable and independent at 90 days than at 30, taking on more complex work and building toward a Senior Analyst or Manager trajectory.
