Job summary

Motion Industries (MOT) seeks an Analyst in Financial Planning & Analysis to support executive, finance, and operational leadership with world-class financial analyses and insightful performance commentary.

You will design financial models, analyze P&L variances, and partner with business leaders to drive profitability. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (including VBA) is essential, as is the ability to deliver automated reporting and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics from an accredited institution.
• 0–2 years of related experience in Finance, Accounting or Business Analysis/Planning.
• Experience with data modeling, analysis, and data visualization/BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements financial models and KPI reports to drive value in the business.
• Analyzes P&L statements, explains variances, and monitors actions to ensure delivery of financial commitments.
• Performs trend and sensitivity analysis to evaluate key challenges and opportunities.
• Prepares and participates in financial and operational discussions with business leaders.
• Serves as a business partner with various leaders to drive profitability through analysis and reporting.
• Identifies and drives process improvements, including standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.
• Performs customer and product profitability analysis.
• Develops automated reporting and modeling tools to increase productivity.
• Assists in the creation of executive presentations.
• Leads and participates in ad hoc projects assigned by the manager.

Analyst, Financial Planning & AnalysisSUMMARY:The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis supports Motion's Executive, Finance, and Operational Leadership by contributing to world class financial analyses and providing thought-provoking, value-adding insight into the group's financial performance.
