Job summary

Associated Staffing Incorporated in Kearney, NE is seeking Welder/Weld Production Trainees for a temp-to-perm role with a 1st shift (Mon–Thu, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM). Pay is $19–$20/hour, with overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.

The position offers long-term potential and a strong benefits package after hire. Candidates should have at least 1 year of production welding experience and be able to set and adjust welding machines, read blueprints, and follow safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of production welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to set and adjust a welding machine.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Strong attention to quality and detail.
• Must follow safety procedures and production specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on galvanized and raw steel per print specifications.
• Read and follow blueprints and print specifications.
• Set and adjust welding machines for specific jobs.
• Select the proper voltage, current, heat, gas and feed settings.
• Set up machines and jigs for welding operations.
• Operate flame-cutting equipment as needed.
• Complete first-piece inspections using QC tools.
• Use measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Move materials using forklifts or cranes as needed.
• Follow established safety, production and quality procedures.
