Job summary

Mural Group is seeking a Quality Control Technician for its Mooresville, NC facility. The role focuses on testing finished batches against specs, evaluating incoming materials, and guiding production on quality matters.

The position emphasizes color matching capabilities, SAP documentation, and a four-day schedule (Mon-Thu 5:30 AM–4:00 PM) with Fridays off. This contract runs 60–90 days and labs in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial production.
• At least 1 year of quality control or lab testing experience.
• Color matching or colorant experience is a meaningful differentiator for this role.
• SAP experience for recording quality data.
• Active forklift license.
• Familiarity with standard lab testing procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard quality tests on production batches and incoming raw materials to verify they meet internal and customer specifications.
• Evaluate color and material compliance against customer-defined standards -- color matching experience is a significant plus for this role.
• Recommend and help develop adjustments to out-of-spec batches.
• Maintain Certificates of Analysis from material suppliers.
• Record all test results in SAP and maintain required quality documentation.
• Verify that gauges and test equipment are properly calibrated and functioning.
• Participate in complaint investigations and corrective action processes as needed.
• Follow all safety, PPE, and housekeeping requirements throughout the shift.
