Job summary

Sysco Virginia is seeking a Warehouse Associate to hand-build pallets, select products, and load trailers to meet customer standards. Starting pay is $22.81 per hour with a four-day work week and shifts starting around 5 A.M.

This role requires basic warehouse experience, ability to operate a pallet jack or forklift, and the ability to lift heavy items. You will receive on-the-job training, work in an environment focused on food safety, and may work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6 months of warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification/license.
• English literacy for safety and communication.

Responsibilities

• Reads pick sheets and travels to proper locations using a pallet jack.
• Picks product types and quantities, labels, and loads pallets on trucks.
• Handles products and builds pallets per food safety procedures.
• Maintains clean, safe warehouse conditions and reports safety issues.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners safely.
• Completes paperwork and tracks time with a wearable computer.
