Job summary

Qualifications

• Mechanical/electro-mechanical systems aptitude and ability to learn FOUP handling equipment.
• Experience in cleanroom, semiconductor, manufacturing or industrial environment with safety/contamination-control protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and quality, including documentation and adherence to instructions.
• Effective communication and teamwork, coordinating with operations, facilities, and engineering partners.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, work orders, and asset tracking systems.
• Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, lift/move equipment as required.

Responsibilities

Role Description The FOUP Technician FSE is a full-time, on-site role based in Hillsboro, OR, responsible for supporting and maintaining FOUP (Front Opening Unified Pod) systems used in semiconductor manufacturing environments. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting FOUPs for defects or contamination, performing routine cleaning and preventive maintenance, and handling FOUP loading, unloading, and transport in accordance with safety and quality standards. The role involves monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and escalating complex problems to engineering or vendor support teams. The FOUP Technician FSE collaborates closely with operations, facilities, and engineering personnel, follows established procedures and documentation, and contributes to continuous improvement of FOUP handling and reliability.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude in mechanical or electro-mechanical systems, with the ability to learn FOUP handling equipment and related tools.
• Experience in a cleanroom, semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial environment, following strict safety and contamination-control protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and quality, including accurate inspection, documentation, and adherence to standardized work instructions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate activities with operations, facilities, and engineering partners.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, work order management, and use of maintenance or asset tracking systems.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift or move equipment and materials as required by the role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in a related field is preferred.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, including possible nights, weekends, or overtime based on site operational needs.
