Job summary

Badger Alloys is seeking a seasoned Foundry Supervisor for the Core department in Milwaukee, WI. You will directly supervise shop floor teams, assign work, and ensure production meets quality, delivery, and customer specifications.

The role emphasizes safety, training, and process improvements to drive efficiency. This on-site position requires 7–10 years of supervisory experience in foundry settings, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interact with maintenance and production

Qualifications

  • Must be computer literate with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • 7–10 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise department staff and schedule work assignments for all team members.
  • Provide specific work instructions and monitor backlog deadlines and status.
  • Document methods to ensure consistency and staff training and coaching.
  • Expedite priority jobs and liaise with maintenance to ensure tools and machines operate efficiently.
  • Enforce safety practices in the work environment.

Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Foundry Supervisor in the Core department to join our team. The ideal candidate will work directly on the shop floor and will ensure the production of company products at the highest quality; meeting company performance standards and customer (internal and external) specification and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for supervision of department staff; schedule work assignment for all team members; provide specific work instructions to all employees; Routinely review backlog deadlines/requirements and attend weekly production meeting; prepare to discuss department updates and status; document methods to assure consistency within department; expedite priority jobs within the department; ability to delegate, develop, train and coach employees to expedite workload and process improvements; act as a liaison to the maintenance department to assure departmental tools and machines are operating effective and efficiently; regulate and practice safety in the work environment.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be computer literate and be able to pay attention to detail and accuracy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school or equivalent with 7-10 years of supervisory or management experience; Foundry related experience is a plus in this role.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Able to operate a forklift
