Description

Mold Small Line Supervisor

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Foundry Supervisor in the Mold department to join our team. This Molding Supervisor is in charge of the molding department. They work directly on the shop floor and will ensure the production of company products at the highest quality; meeting company performance standards and customer specification and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures; Responsible for supervision of department staff, about 15-20 people; schedule work assignment for all team members; provide specific work instructions to all employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Read shop orders, follow up with the schedule and instruction
  • Inspect and casting/molding for any defects; make necessary calls and reports when there is a bad molding in casting
  • Group alloys together
  • Answer and communicate to employees
  • Preview orders; make sure orders are accurate
  • Report all attendance updates to Human Resources/ oversee all scheduling vacation/overtime/off time and our time punch issues
  • Conduct employee performance reviews
  • Ensure proper molding in casting
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that all employees are working in a safe environment as well as ensuring that all follow applicable safety rules and policies. Train, develop, and guide employees. Deal with request from sales, inspection, machine shop, customers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws to minimize company liability; Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems, with the assistance of Human Resources as well as enforcing safety in the workplace.

Must be able to read and understand instructions; good communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail,

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma; 4-7 Plus years of experience in a foundry and molding; experience in leadership and supervising

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS

Organize, computer literate, open minded, have a positive mindset.
