Ashland Foundry & Machine Works is seeking a general foundry laborer to remove poured flaskless and flasks molds from the pouring floor and prep the area for day shift pouring. You will also clean and maintain the shakeout area and surrounding spaces.

Responsibilities include removing sand and core rods from castings, operating the shakeout deck and cranes, and learning to run cab and remote foundry cranes. Safety, housekeeping, and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• Mostly light lifting with occasional moderate to heavy lifting.
• Standing for long periods with frequent lifting and handling of medium to large castings.
• Ability to operate chain hoists and learn cab/remote cranes.
• Vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception.
• Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Remove poured flaskless and flasks molds from the pouring floor.
• Prep pouring floor for day shift pouring (cleaning, sweeping).
• Maintain and clean area under and around shakeout area.
• Remove sand and core rods from castings prior to moving to grinding room.
• Use shakeout deck and cranes to remove castings from molds; learn crane operation.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety; work with supervision to meet goals.
