Job summary

Pentair in Ashland, OH is seeking a Foundry Production Technician for 1st shift to join our casting operations. You will support melting and pouring of iron, operate production machinery, and perform knockouts with a sledgehammer to prepare castings for the lines.

Responsibilities include grinding, fueling furnaces, and adjusting additives; you will work in a heavy, fast-paced foundry with safety as a top priority. The role offers overtime and a starting hourly rate of $22.36.

Qualifications

• Overhead crane or hoist experience for charging furnaces and moving materials.
• Mechanical aptitude with grinders and power tools.
• Experience operating production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work in extreme heat, noise, and fast-paced production.
• Physical ability for heavy manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate casting production tasks in the foundry, including melting and pouring iron.
• Run machines and use grinders and other power tools.
• Perform knockouts using a sledgehammer and assist molding lines.
• Maintain and repair furnaces, ladles, spouts, and related equipment.
• Transport materials with hoists, chains, and forklifts as needed.
• Work in a team-based lean manufacturing environment with safety as a priority.
