Lilly in Carmel, Indiana, is seeking a Sr. Engineer - Process Safety to support the Lilly Medicine Foundry with a focus on process safety compliance and readiness as operations begin. You will work closely with engineers, scientists, operators, and maintenance to resolve PH review findings and support ongoing safety programs.

This role offers mentorship from the site PSM lead, exposure to API manufacturing chemistry, and collaboration with Lilly's Global HSE community across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a Process Engineering or Process Safety Engineering role in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.

Responsabilités

• Assist in preparing and executing Process Hazard Reviews (PHRs) for equipment and chemistry.
• Drive action-item resolution with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Technical Services to close items and ensure PHR records.
• Support Operations-led Pre-Startup Safety Review executions.
• Own and maintain elements of the Foundry Process Safety Management program under the site PSM lead.
• Provide front-line process safety support to Process Engineers, Scientists, Operators, and Maintenance.
• Support process safety information generation including reactivity data and safe operating limits.
• Support Management of Change reviews for new product introductions and process or equipment changes.
• Complete process safety calculations and models with senior staff review.
• Assist in incident investigations and development of corrective actions.
• Support safety training and site-wide safety communications.
