Job summary

Yamaha Precision Propellers is hiring a Foundry Operator to support pre-casting and post-casting production in a manufacturing setting. You will handle loading/unloading parts, operate casting-related equipment, and maintain quality through careful inspection and adherence to schedules.

This role requires teamwork, safety awareness, and the ability to work across tasks with attention to instructions. Starting pay is $19.50 per hour, with attendance incentives and potential growth based on

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts for the pouring process and support pre-casting and post-casting production activities.
• Operate equipment and machinery used to prepare propellers for the next stage of production.
• Read and follow work instructions, daily schedules, and required paperwork accurately.
• Inspect parts for anomalies and perform quality reviews.
• Rotate across processes and maintain a clean, safe work area with 5S practices.

About The Role

We are hiring a Foundry Operator to support pre-casting and post-casting production work in a manufacturing environment. This role is well suited for someone who works safely, adapts quickly across tasks, and takes ownership of producing quality work in a hands-on setting.

Core Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts for the pouring process and support pre-casting and post-casting production activities
• Operate equipment and machinery used to prepare propellers for the next stage of production, including post-casting tools and finishing equipment

• Read and follow work instructions, daily schedules, and required paperwork accurately
• Inspect parts for anomalies and escape items that require quality review
• Rotate across assigned processes and complete work area housekeeping tasks, including 5S responsibilities
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety procedures consistently

Required Skills & Abilities

• Ability to work effectively in a team-based production environment
• Comfort moving between tasks and equipment as production needs change
• Ability to follow instructions carefully while maintaining quality and pace
• Basic math, reasoning, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read gauges, temperature indicators, and alarms

• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle parts weighing 40+ pounds up to shoulder height
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
• Starting pay is $19.50 per hour, with growth potential based on experience
• Attendance incentives available up to $160 per two-week period
