Job summary

Vulcan Metals Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Operator- Molder/Core Maker (Union, 1st shift) to support foundry operations by making, finishing, and assembling cores and molds. The role includes operating cranes and arc welder while maintaining safety and quality standards.

We expect candidates with prior core making, molding, or foundry experience, and the ability to work with supervision. Benefits include competitive pay and a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Ability to work with limited direct supervision.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow approved work instructions and production documentation.
• Verify tooling, materials, and job information before starting work.
• Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment after training.
• Operate arc welding equipment as required after training.
• Protect tooling, cores, molds, and work-in-progress from damage or contamination.
• Notify supervisor of safety, quality, or equipment issues and maintenance needs.
• Suggest process improvements to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
