Job summary

EnergySolutions in Oak Ridge is seeking a safety‑minded team member to operate in a foundry setting, handling radioactive metals for melting, loading and packing materials into containers, and using forklifts as required. You will follow JHAs and procedures to keep areas compliant and productive.

The role requires reading and applying procedures, maintaining clean workspaces, and performing routine inspections.

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret documents
Effective communication skills
Strong general knowledge of processes and procedures to perform work safely
Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

Works in a foundry environment, processing radioactive metal for melting operations.
Loads and packs materials into containers for transport and burial.
Operates forklifts and other equipment as needed.
Follows company procedures, work instructions and JHAs.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Reads and interprets procedures and manuals for assigned areas.
Performs daily, weekly, and monthly inspections for safety.
Demonstrates familiarity with multiple processes listed in the job posting.
Works under supervision and can perform physically demanding work.
Completes various qualifications (PIT, Crane & Rigging, Skid Steer, etc.).
Performs other duties as assigned.
