Job summary

BQC Foundry in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician Level 2 to perform intermediate maintenance on aluminum foundry equipment, diagnose issues, and help keep production running safely. You will work on sand mixers, conveyors, and molding machines, conducting preventive maintenance and maintaining records.

The role requires at least two years of technical training or equivalent experience, one year of relevant mechanical work, and the ability to read blueprints and manuals.

Qualifications

• Must have two years of tech training or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of mechanical experience in hydraulics/electronics.
• Ability to read blueprints, layouts, and machine instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance on foundry machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on sand mixers, conveyors, and molding machines.
• Assist in installation, dismantling, and relocation of machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, including parts used and time spent.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Mentor Level 1 Mechanics and provide training as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training to develop maintenance skills.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies.
