Job summary

Wall Colmonoy Limited in Los Lunas, NM, is seeking a Ladle Maker 1 to support our foundry operations. This non-exempt hourly role focuses on rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining ladles, with emphasis on safety and adherence to SOPs.

You will remove old refractory, install new materials, inspect ladles, and coordinate with production to meet melting schedules. Training provided; overtime may be required; a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or foundry environments preferred.
• Demonstrated masonry and refractory installation skills.
• Ability to operate hand/power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read SOPs and follow detailed instructions.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and procedures.
• Ability to document production, repair, and maintenance tasks clearly.

Responsibilities

• Break out and remove old refractory material from ladles and prepare for new installation.
• Install new refractory material using masonry techniques and approved procedures.
• Repair and rebuild ladles to meet production needs.
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Operate tools required for ladle work and maintain equipment.
• Prepare and maintain repair records and production documentation.
