Qualifikationen

• Must have at least 6 months experience in heavy manufacturing in the last 2 years
• Must be able to work in extreme heat and industrial foundry conditions
• Willingness to wear PPE
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work for an entire shift
• Reliable attendance per company guidelines
• Ability to follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, if applicable

Aufgaben

• Perform pressure pour tender duties, converter truck driving, and other melt tasks as required
• Assist melter and assistant melter with furnace operations and maintenance
• Help with refractory repairs on furnaces, ladles, spouts, and related equipment
• Assist during furnace coil changes and refractory relines
• Operate cranes to meet production requirements
• Monitor quality, mechanical, or delay issues and notify supervisors
• Use downtime for housekeeping and area improvement tasks

What You’ll Do as a Foundry Laborer:

• Perform pressure pour tender duties, converter truck driving, and additional melt tasks as required
• Assist melter and assistant melter with furnace operations, operational maintenance, and deslagging
• Help perform refractory repairs on furnaces, ladles, spouts, and related equipment
• Assist during furnace coil changes and refractory relines
• Operate cranes to meet production requirements
• Monitor quality, mechanical, or delay issues and notify supervisors as needed
• Use downtime productively by completing housekeeping and area improvement tasks

What You Need to Bring to the Foundry Laborer Role:
