Job summary

Elyria Foundry|Hodge Foundry in Elyria, OH is hiring for Melt Shop General Labor on the 1st shift. The role involves performing general labor in the melt shop, handling mold and core work, and supporting the foundry team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years heavy manufacturing experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, HS degree / GED or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in loading, unloading, and stacking materials.
• Ability to work in and around extreme heat required.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Follow direction from Production Supervisor and Team Lead based on daily operation schedule
• Comfortable working around foundry sand and extreme temps (hot or cold)
• General Labor through the foundry includes, making mold, core and cleaning finished castings
• Familiarity with using hand tools and remote cranes
• Willing to do all duties in the dept. as needed
• Collaborate with other departments and maintenance teams to ensure production conformity
• Perform other duties as required
