Job summary

Net2Source (N2S) seeks a Pattern/Tooling Design Engineer in Hodges, SC to design foundry tooling in Creo, following no-bake molding standards and best practices. The role aims to improve quality and reduce lead times on tooling construction.

The position covers RFQ tooling, design of pattern tooling, and resolving casting issues with emphasis on tooling efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience with no-bake molding processes and foundry tooling design.
• Strong proficiency in pattern and core box design for tooling.
• Experience with Creo and casting simulation tools (SolidCast/ProCast preferred).

Responsibilities

• RFQ tooling.
• Design new pattern tooling.
• Resolve casting issues and optimize tooling.
• Re-gate, simulate, and perform additional tasks as needed.

Job description

Join one of the top Mining & Construction Machinery Manufacturing Company as a Pattern/Tooling Design Engineer to support the foundry design requirements.

Foundry Pattern/Tooling Design Engineer

Location: Hodges, South Carolina

Duration: 01 year of initial contract with possible extension based on performance

Role:

Design foundry tooling in Creo software using standards in place and best practices for No-bake molding process with the objective to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling construction

Typical task breakdown:

• RFQ tooling
• Design New Pattern Tooling
• Resolve casting issues
• Re-gate, Simulate, all other tasks as needed.

Top 3 Skills:

• Foundry Engineer Experience: (Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process)
• Foundry tooling Design Experience: (Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process)
• Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCast

Additional Technical Skills:

• Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understanding
• Casting simulation experiences (SolidCast/ProCast or similar preferred)

CNC milling knowledge

Education and experience:

• Associate’s degree with 07+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 04+ years of experience
• Master’s degree with 04+ years of experience
