Job summary

Excel Foundry & Machine, Inc is seeking a Foundry Coordinator for the 1st Shift at our Pekin, IL location. You will assist foundry processes including melting and pouring metal, mold work, and quality tasks. A good attitude and ability to work in hot conditions are essential.

Responsibilities include data entry into AS400, inventory control, scrap metal shipping, mold maintenance, and EPA reporting. Forklift experience and strong communication are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to work in hot conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; safety leadership emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of foundry production into AS400.
• Inventory control of metal and purchased products.
• Shipping scrap metal and monitoring ship schedules.
• Maintain mold lists and track extra castings.
• Scan and record relevant documents; pour and turn test bars as needed.
• Maintain spectrometers and EPA monthly/yearly reports.
• Load/unload trucks; keep work area clean and safe.

Excel Foundry & Machine, Inc is seeking a Foundry Coordinator for 1st Shift at our Pekin IL location. This role will assist in foundry processes including, but not limited to, melting metal, pouring metal into molds, removing castings from molds and dressing castings. A good attitude and ability to work in hot conditions are top priorities for the selected candidate!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Data entry of foundry production into AS400

· Inventory control: covering daily inventory of all metal and purchased product

· Shipping scrap metal: daily monitoring-set ship schedules

· Maintain foundry’s mold list

· Track Extra Castings

· Scanning and recording of relevant documents

· Ensure that Test Bars are Poured and Turned In when Needed

· Maintain Notes and Drawings for Castings

· Maintain Spectrometers

· Monthly and Yearly EPA reports

· Monthly Inventory

· Loading/unloading trucks

· Maintain dust collector drums—empty when full

· Pouring of castings

· Floater who will assist in a variety of tasks

· Help other team members be successful
