Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Cary, IL seeks dedicated individuals to join our foundry team as Caster, Foundry Worker. You will operate casting machines, prepare molds, monitor quality, and document production data. Training is provided, with opportunities to learn a unique metalworking skill in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in foundry operations is a plus.
• Previous experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and adhere to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate casting machines and equipment to produce metal castings.
• Prepare molds and cores according to specifications and ensure they are free from defects.
• Monitor the casting process to ensure quality and consistency of products.
• Inspect finished castings for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
• Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.
