Job summary

Matthews Memorialization is seeking a Foundry Operator for the 2nd shift in Pittsburgh. This is a full-time, safety‑driven role with potential overtime and cross-training opportunities in a long‑standing, stability‑focused company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 0+ years of assembly experience or equivalent education.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and Internet apps.
• Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal and planning skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the organization.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, welding equipment and cutting torch.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment safely per OSHA and company rules.
• Follows approved procedures and onsite instructions for work.
• Monitors quality points and records data for review.
• Reports quality and production issues to Supervisor.
• Cross trains on all work stations within department.
• Performs operator level preventative maintenance on tools and fixtures.
• Maintains a neat and clean work area.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
