Job summary

McCarthy Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Application Developer to join the Engineering and Intelligence team. You will build business applications on Palantir Foundry, focusing on the user interface layer and AI-enabled experiences.

You will collaborate with product owners, data engineers, and architects to translate requirements into secure, production-ready solutions and contribute to DevSecOps practices across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience building and supporting enterprise applications using a modern framework or stack (e.g., .NET/C#, Java/Spring, Ruby on Rails, Node.js/TypeScript).
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including design, reusable components, version control, automated testing, debugging, and maintainable code.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs, working with relational databases and SQL, and handling JSON.
• Practical experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and software delivery practices across environments.
• Knowledge of secure development, including authentication, authorization, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Awareness of risks in AI-assisted development and mitigating them via code reviews, testing, and policy adherence.
• Ability to learn new platforms quickly; Foundry experience not required but beneficial.
• Experience in Agile environments translating requirements into stories and delivering iteratively.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop application solutions on Palantir Foundry, focusing on the application and user interface layers built on the Ontology.
• Build custom applications using OSDK, TypeScript, and React, integrating Ontology objects, relationships, Actions, and Functions.
• Leverage Foundry features (Workshop, Functions, AIP) to streamline workflows and enable AI-powered experiences.
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable designs and reusable components with usability and accessibility in mind.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data architects to shape and develop a robust Ontology.
