Job summary

Yora Nordic Spa is building its founding Kitchen team for the opening in November 2026. The Second Cook will work hands-on with the Sous Chef and First Cooks, following established recipes and standards while developing necessary versatility across the kitchen.

This full-time, on-site role requires flexibility for pre-opening periods and weekend shifts. You will contribute to high-quality, nourishing dishes and a welcoming guest experience in a growing wellness brand.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience in a restaurant, hotel, resort, cafe or similar environment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of food preparation, kitchen organization and food safety.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and production instructions accurately.
• Detail oriented with commitment to quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned menu items accurately and according to recipes and production standards.
• Follow portions, preparation methods and presentation requirements.
• Complete assigned prep and production within timelines.
• Maintain food quality during prep and service; raise concerns before service.
• Support dietary requirements and allergen procedures with accuracy.
• Maintain proper storage, labeling and sanitation; use FIFO to reduce waste.
• Keep workstation clean, organized, stocked and safe.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Complete opening, production, cleaning and closing tasks.
