Job summary

Garage, based in New York, is building a founding technical recruiting function to fuel its engineering, product, and design teams as we scale a mission-critical marketplace. You will own searches end to end, build targeted pipelines, and partner with the CTO/Co-founder and engineering leaders to attract builders who turn complex problems into delightful experiences.

Qualifications

• Full-cycle experience in hiring technical talent for software engineering, design, product development, and data science.
• Strong network with existing knowledge of the NYC startup talent market.
• Ability to close talent with a strong eye for culture fit.
• Experience using Ashby, Juicebox, Metaview, Gem, Clay, ChatGPT, Claude, or other modern recruiting and AI tools.
• Strong organization in an ATS like Ashby.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle hiring across engineering, product, design, and data science, partnering with founders to attract and close exceptional technical talent.
• Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies using outbound, referrals, communities, and technical communities to fill high-priority roles quickly.
• Run structured, high-quality recruiting processes, from screening through offer, while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
• Track pipeline health in Ashby and build scalable recruiting systems and playbooks.
• Help grow out our recruiting team as the company grows.
