Job summary

Inventure, an early-stage AI-native startup, seeks a Founding Software Engineer in San Francisco to build agentic AI for trucking logistics. You will code across TypeScript, React, Node and Python, integrate legacy systems, and advance the agent layer that takes real actions in live carrier environments.

This is a founding engineering seat with significant equity, high autonomy, and a clear path to leadership; expect ~70% coding and 30% collaboration with operations teams, with visa transfers

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of full-stack engineering experience (not for new grads).
• Shipped customer-facing features into production.
• Experience deploying AI/ML or agentic systems in production, AI-native preferred.
• Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco, comfortable onsite five days a week; visa transfers supported.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship product features end to end across TypeScript, React, Node, and Python.
• Develop integrations into carrier systems, including legacy transport management systems.
• Work on the agent layer: tool use, orchestration, guardrails, autonomy gating, and evaluation harness.
• Spend time with operations teams to learn daily tasks and build accordingly.
• Feed learnings from each deployment back into the core product to accelerate future releases.
