Job summary

Pharos seeks a Software Engineer to join as a founding member of the engineering team. You will build, ship, and maintain core user-facing applications, including interfaces for reviewing AI-generated results and analytics platforms for visualizing clinical quality trends.

You'll work across product development, integrations, tooling, infrastructure, and full-stack engineering, collaborating closely with founders and design teams to deliver a mission-critical healthcare product.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Web technologies including a front-end framework (React or Vue), TypeScript, design systems and document databases.
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong product intuition and a keen eye for design and user experience.
• Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Feature Development: Own the end-to-end development of new user-facing features, from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Integrations: Build and maintain integrations with customer systems, third-party platforms, APIs, and healthcare data sources.
• Internal Tools: Build internal tools to accelerate development of clinical registries and streamline data workflows.
• Design-to-Production: Turn product requirements and prototypes into reliable, maintainable software.
• Full-Stack Implementation: Build and maintain front-end and back-end components and services.
• Product Ownership: Rapidly prototype ideas, gather user feedback, and advocate for the best UX.
• Infrastructure & Deployment: Manage CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment processes.
• Uphold Quality: Maintain high standards for code quality and engineering practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with founders, designers, and AI research teams.
