Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Founding Software Engineer to co-create the core infrastructure enabling real-time voice conversations. You will work closely with the founders to design and build backend platforms, APIs, and distributed systems that scale in production.

Experience across backend/platform development, API design, Linux, and observability is essential. This role is hybrid remote with Toronto/GTA coverage, and bonus familiarity with WebRTC/WebSockets, Python, TypeScript,

Responsibilities

• Build the core infrastructure behind real-time voice conversations, including audio streaming, LLM orchestration, APIs, integrations, observability, and production systems.
• Collaborate directly with founders to shape system architecture and platform capabilities.
• Deliver reliable, scalable services with a focus on maintainability and observability.

Strello Health builds AI voice agents for healthcare. We're post-seed, generating revenue, and scaling quickly.

You'll work directly with the founders to build the core infrastructure behind real-time voice conversations, including audio streaming, LLM orchestration, APIs, integrations, observability, and production systems.

We're looking for engineers with experience in backend or platform development, distributed systems, APIs, Linux, and building reliable systems from 0->1. Co-op experience counts, and we're hiring across experience levels.

Bonus: WebRTC/WebSockets, ML or LLM infrastructure, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, or open-source contributions.
