Founding Python Engineer - AI Voice Technology

Base Salary: Up to $300,000 per annum + Equity
Location: San Francisco (Hybrid - 3 days per week in office)

We're seeking a highly skilled Founding Python Engineer to join an early-stage, well-funded AI startup in San Francisco. This company is building AI-driven voice agents that handle open-ended sales calls more effectively than human call center agents. Backed by $6M in seed funding from a top VC, they're assembling a world-class engineering team to scale their platform to millions of real-time conversations per day.

As a Founding Python Engineer, you'll work closely with the founders (ex-Google, YC alum) to design and build scalable backend systems, real-time communication infrastructure, and high-throughput APIs. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, offering the chance to shape both the product and the engineering culture at a pivotal stage.

What You'll Do:

• Design and build scalable backend infrastructure for AI-powered voice agents.
• Develop high-performance public APIs for partner integrations.
• Build real-time communication systems to handle high-volume speech processing.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, helping grow the core team.
• Work closely with ML, frontend, and DevOps teams to enhance AI-driven capabilities.
• Develop integrations with CRMs, dialers, calendars, and external APIs.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Strong Python backend engineering experience, with a track record of building scalable systems.
