About The Role

We're seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain server-side applications and services that support the platform's growth. The ideal candidate has strong experience with our core technologies and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.

In This Role, You Will:

• Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js and Python
• Build and optimize database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL
• Deploy and manage applications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement solutions
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical planning
• Write clean, well-tested, and documented code
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

You Might Thrive In This Role If You:

• Have 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Have strong proficiency in Node.js and Python for backend development
• Have experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Have hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL)
• Are familiar with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understand RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Know asynchronous programming patterns
• Have experience with version control systems (Git)
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have:

• Experience with TypeScript or strong typing systems
• Familiarity with message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of security best practices for web applications
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience with GraphQL
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience
